Keyboard Town PALS was founded in 2008 when Rita Herman and Donna Katz rediscovered a method that quickly and easily teaches keyboarding using proper technique. The method – which focuses on using mnemonic memory devices and puppets paired with a low-stress “mistakes allowed” environment –completes the entire program in 8 lessons in under one hour.
Ms. Herman, CEO, is a professional educator and Ms. Katz has a background in education administration and private non-profit consulting.
The original Keyboard Town PALS “Learn To Type in an Hour” program is now available in English, French, and Spanish, and works for children age 6 and up, and is even effective at teaching those with learning differences and adults how to type. The product line has expanded to include companion products which reinforce the lessons learned in the original program, as well as special curriculum for young student leadership available to teachers and home school environments.
Ms. Herman and Ms. Katz believe that their method is the fastest and best method to teach your children (or yourself) how to type, hands down.
