Keyboard Town PALS at the Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh’s Library Extravaganza

Keyboard Town PALS was at the Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh’s 9th Annual Summer Reading Extravaganza where they gave kids a chance to try out their program and gave parents the chance to win the Keyboard Town PALS program for their child’s class!

9th Annual Summer Reading Extravaganza

Let your creativity shine this summer and “Be Creative” at Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh’s annual Summer Reading Extravaganza! On Sunday June 7, 2009 from 12-5PM, CLP – Main in Oakland will have children, teens and adults singing and dancing as the excitement builds to summer reading. Bring your family and join us for a fun-filled afternoon of free activities and entertainment. Don’t forget to bring your library card!

Here’s a sample of some of the fun things you’ll be able to do at Extravaganza:

  • Watch fun performances
  • Meet Kenny Kangaroo and Ricky Raccoon
  • Meet Florence and Wendell Minor, authors of If I Were a Penguin – and meet a live penguin.
  • Personalize a Smiley Cookie with Eat’n Park
  • Rock out with Radio Disney & Friends
  • See glass blowing demonstrations with the Pittsburgh Glass Center
  • Learn to dance with Pittsburgh Dance and Theatre Arts
  • Enjoy activities at Schenley Plaza’s Kid’s Day
  • Check out the Used Book Sale and support the Library
  • Have fun with The Pittsburgh Cultural Trust
  • Visit with the Pittsburgh Pirates
