Kids’ Comments:
I have enjoyed typing with Keyboard Town PALS. It was fun and I have been trying really hard to keep my fingers on the right keys whenever I am on the computer working on school or playing my games. It’s a process to learn it, but once you get used to it you can do it in a snap. I liked the stories and the puppets. They were funny and helped me learn. It’s a game I will never forget.

“I think the characters were between a little younger then me and right at my age. I think those younger then me (I’m eight) would think it was very cute and fun. Those a bit older then me wouldn’t like the characters as much, but they would probably still do the program and complete it.”
“I loved that I completed it all in one day. I think the length of the program is PERFECT!”"I think other children should try the program for themselves and see just how easy it is.”

Keyboard Town Pals is about typing words.
I like Exercise and Zebra, the Cs, and Dora!
I don’t like typing all the letters they tell me to type. I just want to write my own words and my own thoughts.

Moms’ Comments:
I had planned on stopping her after a half an hour, but by the time I realized how long she was on the program she announced she had completed it. I could not believe it had taken that short of time.

Do you want to get your kiddos typing? How about typing in 1 hour? Is there such a program that can do this? YES! IT’s called Keyboard Town PALS.

Are you ready to say goodbye to a 90 year old stenographic method of typing? You know the one with drills, timed tests, and grades. If so then let me tell you about Keyboard Town PALS.

Wow! Keyboard Town Pals really works! Just like magic! My 7 year old daughter was able to type with her eyes closed, literally. She could visualize the whole keyboard, because all the characters stuck in her mind. She has also regularly been quizzing ME on the names and locations of all the Keyboard Town Pals on the keyboard, LOL. Mommy often gets the names wrong, much to her chagrin, and she corrects me. I can’t believe I went through a whole year class in Grade 9 typing to learn what my 7 year old learned in virtually one hour! My child is happily using her new typing skills.

It is simply amazing, I did not believe it until I saw it myself. Now the recommended age on Keyboard Town Pals is 6-12 and also for children of all ages with learning or developmental disabilities.

Keyboard Town Pals really is a great product. I’ve kind of dragged my feet with it a bit for some reasons, but overall I enjoy the concept of their learning philosophy and that’s what I have to gush about today! To get a complete overview of the program via their words you can look at the instruction page found here. As for my break down, Keyboard Town Pals ranks as a great product because it allows children to learn naturally and in a fun environment. What makes this program unique is that it isn’t based on errors. http://cherieiam.blogspot.com/2011/11/tos-review-keyboard-town-pals.html
So the first time we logged on to Keyboard Town PALS I couldn’t believe how easily she picked it up! This program is so child friendly and very helpful for kids with special needs like Gess! I am absolutely amazed with the results!
I would highly recommend this for any family who has a child with special needs but I am sure it would work great for any child. Typing is one of those things I wondered if Gess would ever be able to do well. I certainly thought it was going to be much harder than this to teach her, especially when other methods had failed. I have to give a big thumbs up to this program and I am certainly recommending it to everyone in our local Down syndrome support group too!

I have not seen Hunter sit at the computer and hunt and peck at the keys, since beginning this program. His hands are on home key street and he moves the appropriate fingers to the appropriate keys.

In my therapist days, we used the keyword (associative) approach to teaching the sounds of the alphabet. So, I know that the associative approach really works.http://tink38570.angelfire.com/familiesagain/index.blog?entry_id=1431668
My 11 year old daughter had amazing results. She did learn to type without looking at the keyboard in less than 1 hour. I HIGHLY recommend this product.

Teach your child to type in an hour! Sounds too good to be true, but Keyboard Town Pals can accomplish this goal. She loved it.

I tried the program with my daughter. My 8 year old thought that the characters were charming and endearing- and so did I! There is no correction for mistakes like most programs. Rather, the student is encouraged to keep trying as they will learn through their mistakes. There is no fear of failure and my 8 year old really liked that. She also loved that that there were no timed tests. http://perfectisboring.blogspot.com/2011/11/keyboard-town-pals-promo.html

Educators’ Comments:
“I truly believe that this program has the ability to change the way typing is taught in the school system.”
Dr. Lawrence Bellman, Director of the Entrepreneurial Institute, Touro College
“I would not have believed it if I hadn’t seen it with my own eyes.”
A. Grafals, Director of Professional Development, New York City Public School
“This is like a miracle. You are not teaching children to type. You are liberating the child to create. It is magical the way the system frees them up to explore and express their imagination.”
Michael Gerber, E-Myth, Awakening the Entrepreneur Within.
“Keyboard Town PALS is that missing link to creative writing.”
Stephen Phillips, Director of Children’s Health Education Foundation/Health Corps
“The feedback I received from the students used words like fun and exciting-words they had never associated with typing program.”
Danielle Forer, President of the PTA, Teacher in Private Girls School, Los Angeles

The Keyboard Town PALS approach of teaching typing vertically (a, z, q, then s, x, w, etc.) , is extremely beneficial for children with spatial perception weakness, as well as motor weakness.
The use of animation and association to teach key location is a fantastic way for individuals with memory recall difficulty to learn.
Sora Wolf, OTR/L, Occupational Therapist
Donna, I am so pleased to learn that Keyboard Town PALS and Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh of UPMC have joined together in getting such a valuable tool into the hands of the children we serve. I can’t tell you how many times I am grateful for having worked my way through learning to type “the old fashioned way” in high school. What an advantage it will be to the kids here, I’m sure.
Richard Barrows, Manager, Donor Relations, Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh Foundation
What is unique about this program is its use of mnemonics (memory tricks) to help children remember which key is where on the keyboard. Thus, whether your child is a visual or auditory learner, this multi-sensory approach improves the probability of their success.
Chaya Klass, MS, OTR/L; Building Blocks, Magazine-Jewish Press
What is great about the PALS system is the fun that is built in… corny tunes and silly puppets. I really appreciate the values taught as well. The company really wanted this to be entertaining so they made many of the puppets’ “voices” recognizable; from Groucho Marx, Larry David and William F. Buckley to Jack Kennedy. Woody Allen puppet gets sick and throws-up (what great casting) and Cary Grant, Jimmy Durante and Walter Chronkite are perfect.
My kids watched the Keyboard Town video several times, but all of us have absorbed the meaningful lessons (and) solid values as well. The kids continue to watch it just for the fun of it, and my toddler is even learning his A B C’s by hanging out with them. On a more serious topic, Keyboard Town PALS deftly addresses and resolves the current issue of bullying in schools.

This typing program is perfect for bringing Community College remedial students up to grade level in computer keyboarding skills.

“Keyboard Town PALS taught my 9 year old daughter to keyboard in just 1 hour (really!). Best of all, my 75 year old father did it too.”
Amy Dagger, New York, NY
Keyboard Town PALS method is successful with both mainstream pupils as well as those with learning differences.
